Ingredients

  • 1 bottle porter or stout
  • 1 egg white
  • teaspoon powdered ginger
  • 150ml dry ginger beer

The spicy, sweet and roasty flavours of a porter or stout beer combine brilliantly with ginger for a drink thats warming, complex and totally moreish. Serves 1

  1. Half fill a tall glass with porter or stout
  2. In an ice-filled cocktail shaker add the egg white, powdered ginger and top with the ginger beer then shake vigorously for 30 seconds
  3. Top the porter or stout with the ginger beer mixture, spooning on the froth from the shaker at the end
