Ingredients

  • 30ml white rum
  • 30ml Advocaat
  • fresh pineapple slices
  • ice cubes
  • pineapple juice, to top up
  • coconut water, to top up
As the sun sets on the old year, usher in the New Year with a tropical twist that tantalises your taste buds and transports you to a paradise of flavour. Cue a gentle sway of palm leaves and the rhythmic crash of waves in the background. Serves 1.
  1. Arrange glasses on a tray and add rum and Advocaat to each glass.
  2. Garnish each with a slice of fresh or dried pineapple.
  3. When guests arrive, add a few ice cubes and top up with equal quantities of pineapple juice and coconut water.
