  • 5 basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 60ml gin
  • 15ml lemon juice
  • Prosecco or Champagne

The key to this bubbly cocktail is extracting the oils of the basil through muddling. Serves 1

  1. Muddle the basil leaves and sugar in a rocks glass
  2. Add the gin and lemon juice and stir until the sugar is dissolved
  3. Transfer to a Champagne flute and top with chilled Prosecco or Champagne
