Why Taylors Shiraz is a great dinner table drop

Wonderful with a rich beef dish or winter stew, this shiraz is a superb winter sip.

With the first planting of our vineyards in 1969, Taylor's Estate set out on a journey to create authentic estate grown wines. Nothing prepared them for its overwhelming success, with the first vintage awarded a gold medal in every national wine show entered. While the range has since grown to include more varieties, every bottle is still crafted at our Clare Valley estate with the same care and attention as that very first vintage.

Spotlight on Shiraz

Taylor’s Estate Shiraz is a seductive, generously flavoured wine – showcasing all the hallmarks of the variety with Taylors’ flare for wines that are both enormous in flavour yet delicate in structure . It will be a popular one around the dinner table as we head into the cooler months.

The palate is plump & generous with ripe fruit characters of plum, cherry and redcurrant. Mocha coffee and subtle aniseed characters are also present along with vanillan oak to balance the fruit flavours. The wine is medium-bodied with a soft mid-palate & pleasing tannin structure. It is a well balanced wine with great texture, good length and enjoyable fruit flavours on the finish.

The wine was matured in American oak for 12 months followed by fining, minimal filtration & bottling. Crafted for immediate enjoyment but will cellar over a medium term under ideal conditions.
