Shanghai Mule

Ingredients

  • handful of mint leaves
  • 50ml Absolut Vodka
  • 30ml lemon juice
  • 90ml lychée syrup (from a can of lychée)
  • lychée and mint, to garnish
  • ginger beer (and soda water, optional), to top
Take the old Moscow mule for a trot around the globe to China, with the addition of exotic lychée
  1. Lightly muddle mint and vodka in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add ice, lemon juice and lychée syrup and shake well.
  2. Pour into an ice-filled glass and top with ginger and soda water, to taste.
  3. Skewer a lychée onto a cocktail stick and place a small sprig of mint in its centre, to garnish.
