Purple Gin Thyme

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup blueberries, fresh
  • 60ml gin (use Tanqueray Blackcurrant for a vibrant purple hue)
  • 15ml lemon juice
  • 15ml simple syrup
  • 120ml soda water (or to taste)
  • sprig of thyme, fresh, to garnish
  • lemon wedge, to garnish
Blueberries and purple-hued gins (try Tanqueray Blackcurrant or Greenall's Blueberry) make this gin cocktail truly special. Serves 1.
  1. Add a handful of ice to your glass of choice.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add blueberries, gin, simple syrup and lemon juice. Muddle well.
  3. Pour liquid from shaker into your ice-filled glass (strain if you wish to remove blueberry skin).
  4. Top up glass with soda water, to your taste.
  5. Add thyme and a wedge of lemon, to garnish.
