Auckland’s Deep Creek craft brewery has teamed up with Liquorland New Zealand to create a special hazy, hoppy brew for GABS 2018
Auckland craft brewery Deep Creek specialises in creating flavour-fuelled beers influenced by global brews with a Kiwi twist. Likewise, with a huge offering of craft beers in store and craft beer on tap at over 20 stores, Liquorland New Zealand also knows a thing or two about global and local crafties.
So for GABS beer, cider and food festival 2018, the two beer lovers decided to come together to create a collaboration brew. Over a gruelling day (yeah right!) at the Deep Creek brewery in Silverdale, Karla from Liquorland Porirua, Susie from Liquorland Forest Hill, Abeer from Liquorland Botany and Alan from Liqourland HQ spent their time mashing out, adding hops and sampling (tough job) the resulting hazy New England-style IPA.
The brew, Deep Creek Brewtiful Haze (6.5% ABV), is a juicy, hazy, hop bomb of a beer, bursting with tropical fruit hop aromas, and with diminished bitterness. New England-style IPA is an incredibly sociable style with a deliberately cloudy look, that’s becoming a hugely popular type of beer around the world.
You can sample this unique, vegan friendly beer on the 30th June at GABS Auckland 2018, or exclusively at your local Liquorland store where it’ll be available from 2 July in 440ml cans and on tap (at selected stores).
