Spotlight On: Mud House Wines

Mud House wines have a busy 2017 ahead, with a milestone anniversary and high-profile social and sporting sponsorships to celebrate

Twenty years ago, Mud House’s founders arrived in New Zealand and fell in love with the place. After preparing the land and planting vines, they built a home to live in from the local earth. That home became the Mud House brand. Today, as proud New Zealanders, Mud House make consistently beautiful wines for people who seek new experiences and embrace fresh ideas. Producing all their wines sustainably, these South Island specialists have vineyards in Marlborough, Central Otago and Waipara Valley. Their passion is reflected in an enviable track record that has seen their wines consistently revered at home and recognised around the world.

Mud House have a big year ahead. They are a proud sponsor of the 2017 British & Irish Lions Tour to New Zealand – it’s been 12 years since the team graced our shores – and there’s a huge sense of anticipation.

Mud House is also a major sponsor of local wildlife sanctuary Kaipupu Point, a partnership that has existed since 2013. Additionally, this year Mud House is celebrating 10 years as an Official Wine Supplier to Emirates Team New Zealand, who are heading to Bermuda this May to win back the America’s Cup.

The Mud House Range remains true to their adventurous spirit and celebrates the South Island of New Zealand with crisp whites, rich aromatics and red with depth and purity. Mud House produce a Waipara Valley Pinot Noir, exclusively for Liquorland. This deep ruby red pinot, has aromas of red cherry, raspberry and vibrant spice, with a hint of oak. Bold fruit flavours fill the front palate and meld perfectly with the spicy oak. Perfect to share with friends over a meal of slow cooked pork belly.
