The Wine: Giesen Estate Riesling Blush

New Zealand’s favourite Riesling meets the fastest-growing wine trend right now – rosé. Giesen Estate Riesling Blush is a playful and delicious medium-dry wine with a refreshing finish. A first-of-a-kind that we’re sure will be huge, it’s a blend of Giesen Estate’s much-loved Riesling – a parcel of premium dry Riesling with a splash of Marlborough Syrah. You’ll smell aromas of luscious red berries and elderflower, subtle sweet spice and a refreshing twist of citrus, and taste mouth-watering lime and blood orange, with a touch of sweetness that finishes dry.

Winemaking Notes

The fruit for Giesen Estate Riesling Blush was carefully selected from cool-climate vineyards in New Zealand’s world-class Marlborough and Waipara regions. The winemakers blend premium parcels of Riesling from Marlborough and Waipara wine regions, giving luxurious richness and bright citrus flavours that are highlighted by fabulous floral aromas from the Waipara fruit. To this they add a dash of Marlborough-grown Syrah to give this groundbreaking wine a touch of sweet berry flavour and its namesake Blush.
