Experience Champagne Mumm at Cup Week

On the banks of Ellerslie Racecourse, Champagne Mumm is transforming Auckland Cup Week into its very own beach club

Inspired by prestigious beach resorts, "Club de Plage" is the theme for the much-anticipated Mumm Racing Village, which will host Didier Mariotti, Champagne Mumm Chef de Caves, who will be in the country especially for the occasion.

The Mumm Racing Village offers race-goers the finest experience in Champagne, food, and entertainment, set on the race course’s stunning Champagne Lawn with sweeping views of the home straight and winning post.

The Village will host 1000 people in distinct Mumm style with two spectacular days throughout Auckland Cup Week: Vodafone Derby Day on 4th March, and Barfoot and Thompson Auckland Cup Day – with the exclusive "Club de Plage" VIP area, on 11th March. Club members can expect a dedicated Champagne bar, top-notch concierges, pool boys and girls entertaining and serving guests, fresh, gourmet treats, exclusive Champagne cocktails, and entertainment including music by New Zealand-based DJ duo Sweet Mix Kids.

The Mumm Racing Village is also bringing internationally renowned New York-based artists The Bumby’s to the VIP area, an anonymous avant-garde performance-art duo who compose what they call a “Fair and Honest Appraisal of Your Appearance” which promises to add an exciting and amusing touch to the members’ experience.

"Club de Plage" VIP guests will experience a number of "Mumm Moments" throughout the day with the opening of the 15-litre Nebuchadnezzar bottle of Mumm Cordon Rouge and the art of Sabrage, which sees a sabre used to break the neck of the bottle clean away from the base, conducted by Didier Mariotti and Mathilde Laborde, Champagne Mumm ambassador for New Zealand.
