??Bombay In The Picture
Following on from the hugely popular Bombay Botanical Bazaar events, this year Bombay Sapphire is switching things up with the launch of a new event called The Living Gallery, popping up at bars throughout Auckland. To celebrate the start of summer, Bombay Sapphire is creating an avant-garde art gallery with displays punctuated with exclusive cocktails dreamed up by mixologists from some of the best bars across New Zealand. Guests will be able to enjoy interactive art work that evolves as they add their own personal touch, helping to transform the space.
Taking place at Glasshouse in the new Morningside precinct, four of the country’s best cocktail bars – Parasol & Swing and Bedford Soda & Liquor from Auckland, Yonder in Queenstown and Forresters Lane in Wellington – have been tasked with creating the unique Bombay Sapphire cocktails, each incorporating a sensory element. The carefully crafted cocktails include a martini that pays homage to the iconic flavours of Italy and a gimlet influenced by the smell of New Zealand pine.
Bombay Sapphire’s The Living Gallery runs from Wednesday 21st November through to Sunday 25th November, tickets are $45 plus booking (available via Facebook and iTICKET) and include a customised gin and tonic on arrival and two tokens to be redeemed for the four signature cocktails. For those simply interested in trying some classic gin cocktails there will also be a free-to-attend gin lounge popping-up at the same time and venue.
Bacardi is hosting a mojito pop-up experience at Auckland waterfront venue Jack Tar from tonight until 9th December. As well as the classic mojito, a number of creative twists will also be available for people to try along with food and live music to enjoy. As well as the main event, four other bars across the city will be serving up an exclusive mojito menu to customers: The Culpeper, Mr Tom’s, The Crab Shack and SO/ Auckland. And to prove there’s more to the mojito than just mint and lime, if you snap and tag your Bacardi #MojitoMoment when visiting, you’ll be in with the chance to win tickets and travel to the Mountain Sounds festival in Australia, as well as a number of smaller spot prizes.
