Toast Recommends: The Whisky Edition

The world’s first triple malt whisky.

And now for something completely different – and we’re not just talking about the name.

Monkey Shoulder is made by blending three of Speyside’s finest single malt whiskies – Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kininvie, all distilleries owned by William Grant and Sons – to create the world’s first triple malt whisky.

Produced since 2005 in small batches of 27 ex-bourbon casks for a richer, smoother taste, designed to appeal to those who don’t normally drink whisky.

Monkey Shoulder is named for the temporary repetitive strain injury often sustained by maltmen constantly turning the barley. The three monkeys on the bottle represent each of the distilleries.
