After being whisked away from The Langham, Auckland, to a secret location, guests were greeted by the stunning vistas and breathtaking views of Kauri Bay Boomrock. And because forward-thinking mixology is part of Patrón's DNA, the brand also recently held their annual Patrón Perfectionists cocktail competition, to celebrate innovative ideas and craftsmanship in mixology.

Held in 18 countries around the world, the competition challenges the world’s best bartenders to create a cocktail worthy of this incredible tequila. National winners from around the world will then fly into Mexico in January 2018 to attend the Patrón Perfectionists semi-finals and finals.

Representing New Zealand is Patrón Perfectionist cocktail competition winner Madeleine Tate from Talulah Bar in Auckland. For the competition, Tate created the delicious Pick Me Up, a reviving blend of Patrón Reposado tequila with flavours of cherry, lime and sherry, (recipe below).
