If you’re looking for the perfect drop to savour as you relax this Labour Weekend, allow us to introduce you to something rather special
Just a few days away, the long weekend burns brightly on the horizon.
Labour Weekend usually marks the first shy beginnings of summer. It’s a time for warmth on the breeze, sparkling seas, and branches laden with blossoms. Plus, a day off work to enjoy it all (assuming the weather plays ball!)
If you’re looking for the perfect drop to savour as you relax this Labour Weekend, allow us to introduce you to something rather special.
The gin geniuses at Hendrick’s have been hard at work crafting their latest creation, Midsummer Solstice, and it’s set to be a serious crowd-pleaser (at least, as far as the crowd here at the Liquorland office are concerned).
Fresh from the Hendrick’s Gin Palace, Midsummer Solstice offers a flavour experience inspired by the height of summer. Made with a secret selection of floral essences, it attempts to capture the intoxicating aromas of Summer solstice, when the Earth is tilted closest to the sun. The creation of Hendrick’s Master Distiller Ms. Lesley Gracie, Midsummer Solstice bursts with fragrant notes of zesty juniper, orange blossom, and exotic fruity ripeness.
It blooms on the palette, but it’s still unmistakeably Hendrick’s – ideal for summer drinking, and wonderfully refreshing in a huge variety of mixed drinks, seasonal spritzes, and classic cocktails.
Pink gin took last summer by storm, and gin’s popularity shows no signs of slowing this year. Midsummer Solstice marks a turn towards sophisticated flavour blends and gorgeous elegance in the gin category. But sadly, like most of our favourite things about summer, Midsummer Solstice won’t last. It’s a small batch, limited-edition gin that’s made to be enjoyed in the moment.
The endless Kiwi summer always ends – so make sure you enjoy it to the full as you empty your glass.
