Recipe: Baileys chocolate ganache

No cake will ever be the same again.

The world's obsession with Baileys is seemingly unstoppable. It's estimated that over 2000 glasses of the gorgeous, creamy liqueur is consumed every minute around the world. Which is over 2,880,000 a day, 20,160,000 glasses a week.

It's creamy, it's sweet and it's oh-so decadent. Here at Toast, we love it too. So naturally, we had to try combining it with one of our other great loves – ganache.

And the results?

Perfection.

Baileys Chocolate Ganache

Ingredients

100ml Baileys Irish Cream

80ml heavy cream?

150 grams chocolate, roughly chopped (white, milk or dark is fine. Up to you!)

Method

Combine cream and Baileys together in a medium saucepan. Gently heat until nearly at boiling point. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate. Leave to cool for 5 minutes – during this time it will start to set.

Use as an icing or filling for cakes, muffins or biscuits.
