Most of us have flirted with Frangelico at some point, but this classic hazelnut liqueur is often confined to the back of the drinks cabinet. Dust it off and try it out with these three fabulous ideas
On the rocks
Keep it simple with this easy but impressive short drink. Pour 60ml of Frangelico over a handful of ice. Squeeze over the juice of two lime wedges and stir. Garnish with a lime round, and enjoy.
Classy cocktail
Swapping out an ingredient for Frangelico can give classic cocktail recipes a classy twist. Why not start with a Moscow Mule? Instead of vodka, pour 40ml of Frangelico over ice in a highball glass. Top up with ginger beer, and add a twist of orange instead of lime. Na zdorovie!
After dinner delight
Everything 1985 is back in fashion, and that means it's time to revive the good old liqueur coffee. Make a long black using a good quality roast, like Cafe Laffare Dark; a full flavour blend that's also low in caffeine. Pour over a 30ml shot of Frangelico, and top with whipped cream. Serve with a Ferrero Rocher on the side for that perfect nutty '80s treat.
