Jameson Caskmates

A crafty collaboration

The idea of whiskey with craft beer might sound a little bit intriguing. Jameson has brought this concept to life in an exciting new release

A product of curiosity and collaboration, Jameson Caskmates is a new whiskey from Jameson that has been finished in craft-stout seasoned barrels. The Jameson Caskmates story began back in 2013, when Jameson Master Distiller, Brian Nation and Master of Whiskey Science, Dave Quinn, first met Franciscan Well Founder and Head Brewer, Shane Long, in a Cork bar.

Jameson agreed to loan some Jameson casks to the brewery to discover their influence on Irish stout and when the stout-seasoned barrels were returned, they were re-filled with Jameson Irish whiskey. Over time, the maturation resulted in a magical new taste sensation. And so Jameson Caskmates was born.

Jameson Caskmates retains all the triple-distilled smoothness of Jameson Original with beautiful additional notes of coffee, cocoa, butterscotch and a gentle hint of hops – a dream mix that will appeal to whiskey enthusiasts, Jameson drinkers and craft beer fans alike!

Serving Suggestion: Jameson and Craft Beer

Jameson Caskmates is best served alongside craft beer – try a relatively light stout, IPA or lager.

Simply pour a 30ml serve of Jameson Caskmates over ice (or neat if you prefer) alongside your pint of craft beer. First take a sip of your whiskey and then a sip of your beer. This allows the flavour of Jameson Caskmates to be fully appreciated both on its own and then as a pairing.

Jameson Caskmates is all about the best of both worlds.
