Wine jelly

Ingredients

  • 375ml red wine
  • 200g jam sugar
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 pinch of allspice
Struggling to polish off that leftover bottle of red from the other night? Make wine jelly!
  1. Place all ingredients in a saucepan and stir to combine
  2. Gently heat to dissolve sugar
  3. Turn up the heat and let the liquid boil for 1520 minutes until syrupy
  4. Strain into a small, sterilised jar and seal. This will last in the fridge for up to four weeks
  5. Serve with your favourite cheese, crackers and a glass of your favourite wine
