August's Cocktail of the Month is The Classic Mojito made with Bacardi Carta Blanca Rum and Fever-Tree Soda Water. Serves 1
Nobody really knows Mojito’s origins, and myths and folklore abound. What we do know is that after Don Facundo Bacardi Masso civilised production of sugar cane spirits and created Bacardi Carta Blanca, the medicinal drink known as Draque ceased to exist, and The Mojito took its place. Neither dominating nor diminishing, Bacardi Carta Blanca is the perfect base for this timeless classic, providing the backbone for crisp fresh lime juice and cool aromatic mint to shine in this popular sundown cocktail.
Cut up 1/2 a lime and put into a Highball glass
Add 2tsp caster sugar
Add 10 torn mint leaves
Muddle to release the lime juice
Add 45ml Bacardi Carta Blanca Rum and ice
Top with Fever-Tree Soda Water
