Spicy Pomegranate Sour


  • 30ml pomegranate juice
  • 30ml lemon juice
  • 30ml whisky
  • 30ml chilli simple syrup
  • 1-2 red chillies
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ teaspoon sugar

Turn up the heat and the flavour with this delicious fruity, spicy take on a traditional sour. Serves 1

  1. Chilli simple syrup: Chop chillies (remove membranes and seeds for less spice) and add to a small sauce pan with water and sugar. Bring to a boil, turn down heat and simmer 10 minutes. Let cool. Strain out solids.
  2. For the cocktail: Add all ingredients to an ice-filled cocktail shaker and strain into a short, ice-filled glass.
