Spiced Vanilla After Dinner Punch


  • For the spiced sugar rum:
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • wedge of lemon or lime
  • For the punch:
  • 1 cup rum
  • 5 cups whole milk or milk alternative
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

This deliciously warming, creamy rum punch is perfect for winter gatherings. Serves 4–6

  1. To make your spiced sugar rim, mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl
  2. Run a wedge of lemon or lime around the rim of each glass and dip into the bowl
  3. Place all punch ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar
  4. Keep at a gentle heat for 15–20 minutes or until ready to serve into rimmed glasses or mugs
