Wintry Island Iced Tea

Ingredients

  • 30ml gin
  • 30ml vodka
  • 30ml white rum
  • 30ml lime juice
  • 30ml cinnamon syrup
  • apple cider, to top
  • soda, to top (optional)
  • apple slices, to garnish
  • Cinnamon Syrup
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
Apple and cinnamon turn this traditionally strong drink into a delicious long cocktail with a bit of a kick! Makes 1
  1. For the cinnamon syrup: Heat the ingredients in a small pot until the sugar has melted. Leave to cool. Pour into a jar and refrigerate (including the cinnamon sticks) until ready to use. Will last for up to 5 days in the fridge.
  2. For the cocktail: Half-fill a cocktail shaker with the ice and add all the ingredients, except the cider, soda and garnish. Shake well. Strain into a tall ice-filled glass and top with apple cider and soda (if using) and stir gently. Garnish with apple slices before serving.
