Ingredients

  • small handful basil and mint, plus extra for garnish (optional)
  • ice
  • 50ml whisky
  • 50ml Midori
  • 30ml fresh lime juice
  • ginger ale, to top (we used East Imperial)
Melon sweetness, herbaceous freshness, zesty lime and ginger and the toasted notes of whisky make this an intriguing and refreshing sipper. Makes 1
  1. Muddle basil and mint in the bottom of a cocktail shaker
  2. Add ice, whisky, Midori and lime juice and shake well
  3. Fine strain into an ice-filled glass and top with ginger ale
  4. Garnish with basil and mint leaves, if desired
  5. Note: We blitzed the strained green mixture with lots of ice in a powerful blender to make a frozen drink, before
    adding the ginger ale
