Chilli Chocolate Martini


  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 60ml Smirnoff Red Vodka
  • 15ml Martini Rosso Vermouth
  • 60ml cream
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • ice
  • grated chocolate to garnish (optional)

This rich and dark cocktail is the perfect after-dinner treat, marrying vodka and chocolate with a pleasing hit of chilli. Serves 1

  1. Stir the sugar and cayenne together in a saucer. Use a damp paper towel to wet the rim of a martini glass and dip it into the sugar cayenne mix
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the Smirnoff Red Vodka, Martini Rosso Vermouth, cream, cocoa powder and one to two teaspoons of the sugar and cayenne mixture, depending on desired level of hotness
  3. Shake well for 30 seconds then strain into the glass, and sprinkle with grated chocolate if using
  4. Alternatively, you can mix using a blender for a fluffier concoction or if making larger quantities
