Buttered Rum Hot Chocolate


  • 3 tablespoons Chocolate Butter Mix*
  • 60ml rum
  • 90ml boiling water
  • whipped cream, to serve
An indulgent nightcap or winter afternoon treat never tasted so good. Truly one to warm you up. Serves 1.

*For the Chocolate Butter Mix: Cream softened butter, cinnamon and brown sugar. Slowly add in cocoa and continue mixing until the consistency resembles a sugar scrub. (This mix can be frozen for up to one month). 

  1. Place 3 tablespoons of Chocolate Butter Mix into a mug.
  2. Add rum and top with boiling water.
  3. Gently stir together until liquid represents a silky finish.
  4. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream.
