Mimosa with a twist

Ingredients

  • Champagne or sparkling wine
  • 100g fresh raspberries
  • Vodka
  • Sugar syrup
  • Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice

Mimosa is one part sparkling wine with two parts fruit juice - not be confused with Bucks Fizz, which is two parts sparkling wine and one part juice. Usually made with fresh orange juice, you can jazz it up easily with an interesting fruit juice and fresh berries

  1. The night before, take your fresh berries and soak them in a mix of two shots of sugar syrup and one shot of vodka. Leave them in the fridge overnight
  2. Place your berries in the bottom of a pitcher, and add a generous handful of ice
  3. Fill your pitcher to the third mark with bubbles, top up with a fresh fruit juice of your choice - we recommend grapefruit
