Hot Dark Chocolate


  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 125 grams dark chocolate
  • ½ cup Johnnie Walker Whisky
  • pinch of sea salt
  • sweetened whipped cream, to serve

Everyone loves a hot chocolate. But a hot chocolate spiked with whisky? Now we're talking. Serves 3–4

  1. Heat milk, vanilla bean and sugar in a saucepan over a medium-low heat
  2. Roughly chop chocolate and add to the milk. Stir constantly until chocolate melts
  3. Remove vanilla bean and add whisky and sea salt
  4. Stir well, then pour into mugs
  5. Top with whipped cream
  6. Enjoy!
