Garlicky Barbecue Prawns


  • 1 lemon sliced
  • 1 kg whole black tiger prawns
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 30g butter, melted
  • sea salt
  • fresh thyme


  1. Heat a large saucepan of boiling water and add 2-3 lemon slices.
  2. Cook the prawns 1-2 minutes until bright orange, drain and set aside to barbecue.
  3. In a bowl, combine the garlic, butter, salt and thyme.
  4. When ready to serve, cook prawns for a further minute or so on the barbecue, basting with the herb butter until just coloured.
