The final line up for Beervana 2020 is out - and beer lovers are in for a treat!
The Beervana 2020 breweries have been announced - and what a list it is! Over 60 breweries will be lining up to showcase their brightest and best beers at Sky Stadium in Wellington on November 20th and 21st, and there's something for everyone, no matter what your flavour profile.
Brewers include stellar Kiwi stalwarts like 8 Wired, Tuatara, Behemoth, Emerson's, Boneface, Brothers Beer, Change Maker, Deep Creek, Panhead and Garage Project; overseas brews like Greene King, Theakston and Heretic Brewing Co; and newcomers like Beehave Craft Meadery and SLAB Brewing.
Superb sups this year include sours and stouts; ales, lagers and IPAs; Hazys and Gose - a warm fermented beer originating from Germany. Watch out for fantastic drinks names like Champagne Supernova (it's a Pilsner), Hazy Cosmic Jive (IPA), Blueberry Ripple (sour), Pretty Pretty Cherry Cola Sour, Tastes Like Space (Imperial stout) and Fairy Bread White (wine)!
Dessert beers are big this year: prepare yourself for fruity sours and ice cream sours, peachy IPAs and plenty of tropical seltzers. The flavours are crazy! Non-beer drinkers can find hard seltzers and ciders - there's even a decent wine list.
A highlight of this year's Beervana is Liquorland's Meet The Brewer series: check out the videos below for a taste of what's to come:
