Get some Guinness serving ideas for St Patrick’s Day this weekend, plus be in to win one of two incredible Guinness St Patrick’s Day Prize Packs
When it comes to St Patrick’s Day celebrations around the world, there’s only one beer on everyone’s lips: Guinness. Make sure your Guinness serving is on top form for this weekend’s celebrations, with these pouring tips from New Zealand’s Guinness Trade Quality Ambassador, Richard Robb…
How to pour the perfect Guinness
The Glass: The perfect pint starts with a perfectly clean, tulip shaped glass.
The Pour: With the glass on an angle of 45°, allow the Guinness to cascade down the glass. Slowly straighten the glass with a continuous pour until it’s ¾ full.
The Surge: Allow the surge to fully settle for a minute or two before completing the pour.
The Finish: The pour is completed with a smooth creamy head forming above the rim of the glass.
The Moment: Pint presented without spillage and with the Guinness logo proudly displayed to the front. Enjoy!
A Bit On The Side
Once you’ve mastered the perfect Guinness pour, step things up by adding a chaser of Bushmills Irish Whiskey – a serve that’s also known as a boilermaker. Better still, get yourself into this week’s Toast giveaway below, and you could receive a specially-designed Bushmills boilermaker cup to clip on the side of your Guinness pint glass.
