In 2015, Tuatara celebrated their quindecennial year as a brewery. In celebration of many years of beautiful brews, they created a limited edition Russian Imperial Stout, XV. They cellared this stunning beer (upright, of course – they do things a wee bit differently to their vinetarian cousins) over the past year and, just like Tuatara brewery, XV has improved with age.
XV won a silver medal in the Porter & Stout category at The Brewers Guild of NZ Awards in September 2015, which is another testament to its wonderful flavour. Since then, XV has been sitting in the cellar honing those award-inducing rich, chocolatey, malty flavours.
And the results? Sensational.
