Heineken Light

Heineken Light

Heineken Light has landed at Liquorland. We take a look at why it’s the next big thing in the world of light beers.

If there’s one beer that stands as a time-honoured Kiwi favourite, it’s Heineken. As the world’s most international premium beer, Heineken recently launched Heineken Light into the New Zealand market – the first new product from the Dutch brewing giant since 1994. Big things were anticipated; and they delivered.

This exciting innovation caters for Heineken drinkers looking for a lighter alternative. Clocking in at 2.5% ABV, this premium lager offers an extraordinarily smooth drinking experience, without forfeiting taste. In fact, it’s brewed using all malt to provide a flavoursome foundation, and finished off with Cascade hops to give the beer floral and citrus notes, plus a slight bitterness.

New Zealand is just the third country in the world to launch Heineken Light following a successful roll out in the U.S. and Taiwan.

“We are hugely proud to have produced a world first 2.5% Heineken Light to address the changing consumer tastes here in New Zealand. The premium light beer is an exciting innovation for Kiwis, which delivers on the uncompromising quality and taste that they have come to expect from Heineken”, says Julia Imlah, Heineken New Zealand Marketing Manager.

So, whether you’re looking for a light after-work bevvy, or tons of flavour without the high alcohol hit, Heineken Light is the beer you should be grabbing off the shelves. Cheers to that!
