“It’s been on hiatus since 2019, but we’re bringing it back in 2024 to showcase the history, creativity, and breadth of beer in Germany with three fantastic breweries (Fraugruber Brewing, Schneeeule and Schneider Weisse).”

“We’ve also got some Aussie favourites returning with the Kiwi expats-done-good One Drop Brewing back from Sydney.

There are four breweries from the Sunshine Coast with Brouhaha, Moffatt Brewing and Blackflag returning from 2023. They'll be joined by festival newcomers Coolum Beer Co.

2 v10

“All our Aussie breweries were so popular last year they completely sold out of beer, so festival-goers will be stoked to see them back.”

Many of New Zealand's favourite local breweries are returning to Beervana for 2024, bringing plenty of fun to proceedings as well as lots of outstanding beer.

“Altitude Brewing will be here again after their Croquembouche Pastry Stout was named beer of the festival in 2023, Duncan’s Brewing Co. will be bringing their 10th birthday party to the stadium, and Liberty Brewing will be taking it back to the 1920s with their prohibition-themed stand,” Ryan says.

6 v3

“The creativity of breweries has often extended past the beer and into the stands themselves. Over the years we've had secret dance halls, giant D&D installations, and alpine gondolas, to name a few.

“That’s set to go to the next level this year with the breweries also vying for the honour of the Best Stand, with punters voting for their favourites.”

3 v11

Beervana is as renowned for its food as it is for its beer. This year’s festival boasts the return of whitebait fritters from Boulcott St Bistro and Mahurangi Oysters as well as newcomers including handmade pasties from Auckland’s Ansum Pasty Company, Wasabi Chicken’s Korean fried chicken and Kāpiti ice cream.
